The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team bounced back from their double header loss to Thomas Nelson Community College on Saturday to defeat the Vikings from Hudson Valley Community College yesterday by a final score of 10-6.
The Lakers tallied nine total runs against the Vikings on Sunday. Cody Cooper led the Lakers finishing 3-for-4, with two doubles and two runners batted in. Sophomore Mike Magnanti went 2-for-4, with two RBI's and three runs scored. Nick Ferrino finished 2-for-3 and one run scored.
Garrett Cunningham pitched two innings for the Lakers. He allowed only one earned run after facing 13 batters and received his first win of the season. Evan Pappalardo pitched three innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs after facing 17 batters.
The Lakers will continue their spring break play today, March 20 when they face the College of Southern Maryland at 12:00pm and Elgin Community College at 3:00pm.
