The Finger Lakes Community College Baseball team traveled to Corning Community College on Saturday, April 1 to play a double header against the Red Barons. The Lakers finished strong, winning both games by scores of 8-5 and 7-5.
In game one of the double header Trevor Bradshaw went 1-for-4 with two runs batted in. Chris Lovin went 1-for-3 with one run for the Lakers. Nick Ferrino finished with two stolen bases, two RBI's, going 1-for-4 with one run. Kobe Punchard pitched five innings, with one earned run and six strikeouts after facing 25 batters.
In game two Cody Cooper went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and four RBI's. Austin Teets would go 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Stephen Fredendall faced 25 batters in six innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out five batters for the Lakers.
The Lakers will continue their play on Sunday, April 2 when they will face the Corning Red Barons, for the second time this season in another double header match up.
