Sean Marren concluded his first season as head coach of the Lakers in 2012 by coaching the team to an overall record of 17-27. He has now been involved with the program for two full seasons, having previously served as one of the teams’ assistant coaches in 2011.
Prior to joining Finger Lakes, Marren served as head coach of the Victor Legion team and was a coordinator at the Frozen Ropes Baseball Training Center in Rochester, NY.
Marren was a four-year letter winner as a baseball player at the collegiate level (three-time All-Conference and one-time All-Region). He played at three different institutions; Mount Saint Vincent, Finger Lakes Community College, and at the University of Mary Washington.
Marren graduated from Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and American Studies.
Nick Amatulli

Nick Amatulli concluded his fourteenth season as an assistant coach with the Lakers in 2012. He was responsible for working with Finger Lakes defense on a daily basis in practices and at games.
Prior to joining Finger Lakes, he served as a head and assistant baseball coach at several different levels. Amatulli held head coaching stints at Newark High School (where he was named Coach of the Year in 1993) and in the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League (now the NYCBL).
Prior to being a head coach, he served as an assistant coach in the North Atlantic Independent Professional Baseball League. Aside from coaching, Amatulli has also been a guest instructor at several area camps and clinics.
Jimmy Habecker

Jimmy Habecker concluded his first season as an assistant coach for the Lakers in 2012.
Aside from serving as an assistant at Finger Lakes, Habecker directs (head coach) the Sherrill Silversmiths, a New York Collegiate Baseball League team. In addition, he is also an instructor at the Frozen Ropes Baseball Training Center in Rochester, NY as well as a mentor for the Ripken Baseball Camps and Clinics in Aberdeen, MD.
Habecker's coaching resume consists of several years spent at a number of different levels. He previously served as an assistant baseball coach at the high school and American Legion levels, having coached Penfield High School in Penfield, NY as well as the Rayson Miller Jr. Legion 17u team in Pittsford, NY (American Legion). During his time with Rayson Miller, he helped guide the team to their second district league title in team history.
Habecker was a four-year member of the Mount Union College baseball team. He graduated from Mount Union with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Management.
Mike Zollweg

Mike Zollweg concluded his first as an assistant coach for the Lakers in 2012.
Along with coaching at Finger Lakes, he also serves as a personal coach in the Rochester, NY area, working one on one with high school and youth pitchers. In addition, Zollweg has six years of previous coaching experience at the Frozen Ropes Baseball Training Center in Rochester, NY.
Zollweg was a standout baseball player and three-time captain at the University of Rochester (NY). Prior to playing at Rochester, he spent one season at Finger Lakes Community College as a pitcher and outfielder.
Zollweg also has experience playing international baseball. Prior to his junior year at Rochester, he played in an international tournament in Holland, pitching the United States team to a 2-0 victory in the championship game. Preceding his senior year, he played in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, where he was selected to the All-Star team and was among the league leaders in Earned Run Average.
Zollweg has played with and against over twenty-five athletes who were drafted into professional baseball. Aside from coaching, he currently plays recreational baseball for a men's summer league.
