Lakers Winning Streak Snapped on Road at Corning

CORNING, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers (10-15) fell to Corning Community College today on the road, 78-72. The loss snapped the Lakers recent four-game win streak. Despite the loss, FLCC saw three of its players reach double figures in scoring. Freshman guard Nick Wicks (Webster, NY) led the Lakers with 22 points while accounting for five three-point field goals on the afternoon.

Recent FLCC Athlete of the Week and Mid-State Athletic Conference Player of the Week (freshman guard) Nic Cesar (Brooklyn, NY) continued his hot play by contributing 21 points to the Lakers offense.

Sophomore guard Tyron Wilcox (Rochester, NY) added 11 points for FLCC in the loss.

The Lakers will wrap up their three-game road trip this Wednesday (2/15), when they take on Cayuga Community College at 7:30 p.m.
