Mosley and Range Receive All-Region III Honors

Canandaigua, NY -- The NJCAA Region III named their 2016-17 Men’s Basketball All-Region Team. Among its members are Finger Lakes Community College sophomore’s Jonathan Range and Shabazz Mosley.

Shabazz Mosley has been named to the 2016-17 First Team All-Region. Mosley was also chosen for the 2016-17 All-Conference Team last week. Mosley was ranked third in the region with 21.5 points per game. He was also ranked eighth in the region with 8.9 rebounds per game. Mosley finished with a team high field goal shooting percentage of 53.3, and a team high of 580 points scored for the Lakers.

Jonathan Range has been named to the 2016-17 First Team All-Region and was named the regional player of the year for the second year in a row. Range was also named to the 2016-17 All-Conference team last week. Range is ranked fourth in the region with 21.3 point per game, and fifth in the region with 9.4 rebounds per game. Range is one of only five players in Lakers history to score over 1000 points in his career, totaling 1076 in his two years.

The Lakers finished their 2016-17 season with a 17-10 overall record, and placed second in the Mid-State Athletic Conference Tournament. The Lakers ended their season on Tuesday, February 28 when they fell to the Corning Community College Red Barons in the NJCAA Region III Quarterfinals.
