The Lakers Place Second at Conference Championship

The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team was defeated by the Lazers from Onondaga Community College on Saturday, February 25. In the Conference Tournament Championship Game the Lazers would go on to win by a score of 80-62.

At the end of the first half the Lakers led the Lazers 34-33, after a three pointer from Jordan Donahue. The Lazers would go on to sink a series of three pointers in the second half, to distance their selves from the Lakers.

Shabazz Mosley would lead the Lakers with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jonathan Range added 14 points and six rebounds. Cameron Myles finished with 13 points, scoring nine points with eight minutes remaining in the second half.

The Lakers took second place in the Conference Tournament, they will enter the NJCAA Region III Tournament this week as the fifth seed. On Tuesday, February 28 they will face the fourth seeded Red Barons from Coring Community College in the Quarterfinals round at 7:30pm.
