Men’s Soccer – Lakers Bly Earns Spot on MSAC All-Conference Team

CANANDAIGUA – Lakers goalkeeper Shane Bly has earned his way onto this year's Mid-State Athletic Conference All-Conference Team – after posting what was a solid year inside the conference. The sophomore, who was a rock in Finger Lakes goal all season long, helped lead the Lakers to three key conference victories. FLCC, which finished 2012 with a 3-2-1 record in the MSAC, credits Bly for a pair of 5-nil shutout victories (both at home) over Corning CC and Cayuga CC. It also recognizes the solid performance he put forth in the Lakers season finale, which came against conference foes Jefferson CC on the road. In that game, Bly was on the leading end of a 5-1 FLCC victory. That win, which solidified a winning conference record for the Lakers in 2012, pushed FLCC's overall record (up until their first round loss to Erie CC in this year's region III playoffs) to the .500 mark for the first time all season long.
