The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Soccer team defeated Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Wednesday by a score of 3-0. This win marks the ends of the Lakers season with their overall record at 4-13-1.
The Lakers started their run early in the contest scoring all three of their goals within the first 30 minutes of play. Mason Smith would score his first two goals of the season against the Raiders. He was assisted by Quinton Ashley and Christian Kasinge. Preston Crego would also record his first goal of the season. He was assisted by sophomore captain Quinton Ashley. Mitchell Steurrys was in net for the Lakers. He had 6 saves on the day and received the shutout for the Lakers.
The Lakers had a rough start to the season winning only one of their first 12 games. However, they made drastic improvements during the final stretch of the season recording 3 wins, 1 tie and only 2 losses. Congratulations Lakers and we will see you next season.
