Lakers Lose Tough Defensive Game Against Spartans

AUBURN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men’s Soccer team lost to the Cayuga Community College Spartans on Saturday. The Lakers lost 2-4.

The Lakers may have lost, but they played a great defensive game against the Spartans. The Lakers managed to score two goals. The first was scored by Gabriel Mendoza. Mendoza was assisted by Felipe Gonzalez. The second was scored by Dhameer Balkum. Balkum was assisted by Mendoza. This was Balkum’s first goal of the season.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Mendoza with 1 goal, and 1 assist, Balkum with 1 goal, and goal keeper Brayden Kane with 15 saves.

The Lakers play next at home against Jefferson Community College Wednesday, September 27th. They will start at 4:00pm.
