Men's Soccer Falls to Mohawk Valley

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men’s Soccer team lost to the Mohawk Valley Hawks 0-3 this past Wednesday. This dropped the Laker’s record to 3-4.

This game was a very emotional and physical one. There were 5 yellow cards that came out of it. In the first half, it looked like it would be a hard fought game. Until 15:30, Hawk’s Levy Hernandez found the back of the net from Noah Dixon.

The Lakers lost some steam in the second half. It was a frustrating half for FLCC. Early on, Hawk’s Abdi Osman scored their second goal of the game, assisted by Cody Jones. The Lakers started to do the right things and stay on offense. At one point, the Lakers had multiple corner kicks and scoring opportunities. They could not quite finish. The last Hawk goal was scored by Jones late in the second half.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Samuel Johnson, and Felipe Gonzalez both with 3 shots, and goal keeper Brayden Kane with 5 saves.

The Lakers look for redemption against Onondaga Community College, Saturday, September 16th. They will start at 3:00pm.
