Scott Williams concluded his first season as assistant coach of Finger Lakes in 2012.

Prior to joining Finger Lakes, he coached cross country and track and field (indoor and outdoor) as well as wrestling in the Elmira Heights, Corning and Horseheads School Districts. Williams has coached several boys and girls Section IV champions in cross country and track.

He competed in cross country and track collegiately at the University of Delaware for four years. At Delaware, he earned All-East Coast Conference honors during his senior year and was a three-time All-IC4A (University Division) runner in cross country. Williams was voted captain of the cross country (junior and senior years) and outdoor track (senior year) teams at Delaware.

He has also competed in cross country while serving in the United States Army. During his running career in the Army, he qualified for the All-Army team twice and was a representative for the United States as an All-Armed Forces team member in the World Militaire (CISM) Cross Country Championships (held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

Williams is currently employed as a Physical Education instructor at Keuka College. Prior to his career at Keuka, Williams served over seven years in the military as an Army officer.
