FLCC’s Jordan Merritt Takes First at Bruce Bridgman Invitational

Canandaigua - The Finger Lakes Community College men's cross country team placed 5th overall in a 7 team race at the the Bruce Bridgman Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The race was held at FLCC's main campus. The Lakers were led by Jordan Merritt's (Penn Yan) first place victory in the 5 mile run, which consisted of an overall time of 28:22. Also scoring for FLCC were Adam Bradley (Stanley), 19th, Joel Vollenweider (Canandaigua), 21st, Mike Pitcher (Hornell), 25th, and Joe Ellinger (Clyde-Savannah), 32nd.  Dave Herbert (Wayland-Cohocton), Josh Corey (Marcus Whitman), Jason Woodard (Red Jacket), Nick Pruden (Canandaigua), Brian Richardson (Scottsville), and Ryan Vogt (Wayland-Cohocton) all performed well for the Lakers.

FLCC will be back in action this Saturday, September 24th at Houghton College. The meet is schedule to get underway at 12:00 p.m.
