Softball – Lady Lakers Fall To Raritan

MYRTLE BEACH, SC. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers fell to Raritan Valley Community College (of New Jersey) today in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (neutral site) by a score of 8-4.

In a losing effort, the Lady Lakers were highlighted by the play of freshman shortstop Emily Essom (Fairport, NY). Essom had her first breakout game of her early college playing career today by registering 2 hits with 1 home run and 3 RBI. She finished the game by going 2 for 3 from the plate.

Finger Lakes received 1 hit each from Jeri Baker (shortstop, freshman, Harrisville, NY), Samantha German (third baseman, freshman, Horseheads, NY), and Tamara Robertson (outfielder, Farmington, NY). German also added 2 runs scored to go with her 1 hit.
