Softball – Lady Lakers Drop Pair Of Games To Niagara On Road

SANBORN, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers dropped a road doubleheader this afternoon to the Niagara County Community College Lady Thunderwolves by scores of 2-0 (game one) and 12-3 (game two). With the sweep, the Lady Thunderwolves extended the Lady Lakers current losing streak to ten games.

Game One: In a game that saw a scarce amount of offense between both clubs, Finger Lakes was highlighted by the 2-hit effort of Amalia Dolley (Horseheads, NY). She finished the game 2 for 3 from the plate.

Samantha German (Horseheads, NY), Chelsie Travis (Penn Yan, NY), and Emily Essom (Fairport, NY) each added one hit apiece for the Lady Lakers in the loss.

Game Two: Jeri Baker (Harrisville, NY) assembled a productive game for Finger Lakes in the losing effort. She finished the game 2 for 3 from the plate with 2 RBI's and one run scored.

Sarah Roza (Rochester, NY) added a hit and a run scored for the Lady Lakers.

Upcoming Games: Finger Lakes will be back in action on Thursday (4/19) at home when they take on Erie Community College for a late afternoon doubleheader. The first pitch of game one is scheduled to be thrown at 3:30 pm.
