FLCC Softball Falls to No. 1 Herkimer and No. 3 Brookdale in pair of Season Opening Games

MYRTLE BEACH, SC. – The Lady Lakers (0-2) dropped their first two games of the season on Monday to two of the nation's top teams. In their first contest, they fell to No. 1 Herkimer County CC 10-1. FLCC's lone run came off of the bat of Rachel Mertens as she slugged a home run. Adding a 2 for 2 effort from the plate was freshman Elaina Evinsky. In game two, the Lady Lakers fell to No. 3 Brookdale CC 7-2. Against Brookdale, FLCC received a 2 for 2 effort at the dish from Katie Plummer. Adding a triple and a pair of RBIs was Andrea Davis.

FLCC is currently in action as they continue their spring break trip down in Myrtle Beach, SC. At 9 am this morning, the Lady Lakers, who are slated to play a pair of games today, took the field against Mercer County CC. After their meeting with Mercer, they will take on Alfred State College at 11 am.
