Lady Lakers Fall to Onondaga in MSAC Tournament

SYRACUSE, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers (14-15, 6-7 MSAC) fell to #2 nationally ranked Onondaga Community College (Lady Lasers) today on the road in the first round of the NJCAA Region III Division III MSAC tournament, 84-70. Trailing 43-27 at halftime, the Lady Lakers battled back in the second half to close the game to 6 points, but couldn't overcome the Lady Lasers size and depth down the stretch.

The Lady Lakers season concluded with a pair of MSAC All-Conference Team selectees leading the team today. Freshman guard Cassandra Strait (Dundee, NY) led FLCC in the scoring department with 28 points. She also tacked on 14 rebounds and handed out 5 assists. Freshman guard Kelli McCauley (Irondequoit, NY) finished second in scoring for the Lady Lakers this afternoon by pouring in 14 points.

Freshman forward Ashley House (Hammondsport, NY) added 10 points in the losing effort for FLCC.
