Strait and McCauley Earn All-Region Team Honors

CANANDAIGUA, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers are proud to announce that Cassandra Strait (Dundee, NY) and Kelli McCauley (Irondequoit, NY), a pair of freshmen guards, have been selected to the 2011-12 National Junior College Athletic Association women's basketball All-Region team.

Strait was selected 2nd Team All-Region after a season that consisted of her finishing 11th in the nation in scoring and 15th in the nation in assists. On the season, Strait averaged 20.1 points per game and 4.3 assists per game.

McCauley was selected 3rd Team All-Region after turning in a season that saw her rank 27th in the nation in scoring. On the season, McCauley averaged 15.9 points per game.
