Lakers Drop to 1-3 in MSAC

The FLCC Women's Basketball team moves to 1-3 in the MSAC after their defeat against Corning Community College last night by a score of 60-58.  They are now 5-12 overall following the loss.

During the course of the evenly matched game, their were 12 ties and 5 lead changes.  The Lakers went into halftime ahead by 36-25 over the Red Barons.  Corning outscored the Lakers in the both the third and 4th quarters to take the lead late in the game.  Finally after many near misses in the last few seconds by the Lakers, Corning claimed victory by a final score of 60-58.  

Megan Howell lead the Lakers with 11 points on the night.  Monica Brennan and Michelle Broderick had 10 points a piece.  Monica Brennan also contributed 10 assists for the Lakers.  Shelby Dugan rounded out the Lakers offence with 9 points and 10 rebounds against the Red Barons.

The Lakers will stay at home this weekend as they host Cayuga Community College on Saturday in another MSAC matchup.  Tipoff is set for 1pm on Putt Moore Court.
