Bio

In 2013-14, Steve Varney concluded his 36th season as an assistant coach of the woodsmen program at Finger Lakes Community College.

Prior to joining FLCC as an assistant coach, Varney competed at the college as a member of the woodsmen team from 1976-77. He graduated from Finger Lakes CC in 1977 with an associate’s degree in natural resources conservation. Varney is currently employed at FLCC as a carpenter. He resides in Naples, NY with his wife Jamie.
