AUBURN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women’s Soccer team triumphed over the Cayuga Community College Spartans Saturday. The Lakers won 4-0.
This was a good win for the Lakers. They had just come off of a 0-2 loss against Jamestown the game before. This win boosted the Lakers to a 5-3 record. The first half was slow, but ended with the Lakers taking the lead. Colby Kutzer scored the first goal of the game. She was assisted by Allison Page.
The second half is where the Lakers started dominating. There were three Laker goals scored in the second half. The second goal was scored by Page. She was assisted by Kutzer. Hannah Ceravolo scored the third goal of the game from a pass from Page. The final goal of the game was scored again from the Page-Kutzer duo. Page scored and was assisted by Kutzer.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Page with 2 goals, and 2 assists, Kutzer with 1 goal and 2 assists, and Ceravolo with 1 goal.
The Lakers will take on Jefferson Community College at home on Wednesday, Septemeber 27th. Kick off will start at 2:00pm.
