Women's Soccer Defeated by Fighting Owls

ROCHESTER N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women’s Soccer team was defeated by Harford Community College 7-0 this past Saturday. The Lakers played the Fighting Owls at a neutral field at Monroe Community College.

The Lakers could not get by the Fighting Owls’ defense this past Saturday. Harford scored 5 goals in the first half. Fighting Owls’ Mackenzie Wills scored the first two goals of the game. Her first goal was assisted by Alecia Rotunno and her second was unassisted. Grace Humes scored the third goal of the game and was assisted by Kasie Lambert. Alexandria Adams scored the fourth goal of the game and was assisted by Wills. The last goal of the half was scored by Kassidy Webster and assisted by Lambert.

In the second half, the Lakers held Harford to only two goals. The first of the half was scored by Webster and assisted by Jacklyn Barbon. The final goal of the game was scored by Adams assisted by Alison Beers. This finished the game to a 7-0 score.

Isabella Prest started in goal for the Lakers and Samantha Clark started the second half of the game. Prest had 13 saves with 5 goals against and Clark had 4 saves with 2 goals against. Both goal keepers were the game leaders for the Lakers.

The Lakers look to improve their record against Hudson Valley Community College this Thursday, August 31st. The Lakers will be playing at home at 5:00PM.
