The Finger Lakes Community College men's and women's track and field team traveled to Alfred State College last week (5/5-5/7) to compete in a 3 day meet in the NJCAA Division III Championship.

Tryphena Hamilton continued to highlight the Lakers season by finishing with a pair of top 10's in the women's discus throw and shot put. She placed 2nd in the discus throw with a distance of 32.12 meters and 6th in the shot put (9.48 meters).

David Moore led the way for the men with a 3rd place finish in the long jump (6.57 meters). He also placed 7th in the triple jump (12.56 meters). Joseph Christian added a 7th place showing in the shot put (13.11 meters).

On a personal note, Sarah Murphy placed her best time of her FLCC career in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03:20 while Joel Vollenweider set a school record in the men's 800 meter run at 2:01:32.
