Brockport Invitational

FLCC men's and women's track and field competed in the Brockport Invitational over the weekend. Lindsay Rynders highlighted the day for the Lakers with a 2nd place showing in the women's 10000 meter run with a time of 45:33.85. David Moore placed 4th in the men's long jump at 6.15 meters. Samuel Beckwith added a 6th place finish in the men's long jump at 6.10 meters (qualifying himself for the Region III Championship). Matt Szydlowski came in 5th in the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.78. Chris Harvey contributed a pair of 6th places finishes in the men's 200 meter dash and 110 meter hurdles with times of 19.16 and 19.16.

Katherine Donovan qualified for the Region III and Division III National Championships by placing 10th in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.03. Tryphena Hamilton added a pair of top 10 finishes for the Lakers in the women's javelin throw (9th place) at 16.38 meters and in the shot put (10th place) at 8.99 meters. FLCC will compete again this weekend at the Cortland Classic on Friday (4/22) and on Saturday (4/23). The meet will take place in Cortland, NY.
