Brooks, Tilton, and Drennen Named Second Team All-Region
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – Finger Lakes Community College and its track and field team is proud to announce the nominations of Julie Brooks, Leigha Tilton, and Caitlin Drennen to this year's All-Region team. These three quality athletes have each been granted Second Team honors for their performances in last weekend's Region III Championships; held on the campus of Alfred State College in Alfred, N.Y.
Brooks, on May 3 and 4 combined to post a pair of second place finishes in the women's long (4.66 meters) and triple (10.05) jump categories. In addition, the sophomore placed third in the high jump where she leaped to a distance of 1.55 meters.
Tilton registered a second place finish in the women's high jump (1.55 meters) and in addition was third in the 100 Meter Dash (13.40 seconds) and 100 Meter Hurdles (17.37 seconds).
Drennen earned All-Region honors with her second place showing in the women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase. In the event, she recorded her runner-up placement by concluding it in a time of 15:49.93.
