As a high school athlete: She earned Wayne County Most Valuable Player honors, was granted the Sportsmanship Award and was voted as Most Improved, receiving all three recognitions for the sport of volleyball. Smith also participated on the women’s basketball, softball, and track and field teams at Lyons. She is currently enrolled in the pre-nursing program.
