Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Weekend POD at SUNY Delhi

Delhi, NY - The Finger Lakes Community College women's volleyball team earned 3 victories over the weekend (at SUNY Delhi POD), defeating Herkimer Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College, and SUNY Delhi. In match one, the Lady Lakers (16-7) defeated Herkimer in 3 games, 25-17, 25-23, and 25-15. FLCC was led by Jessica Granger's (Letchworth) 29 assists and 3 aces in the win. Alysha LaDuke (Livonia) added 11 kills and 11 digs for the Lady Lakers.

FLCC downed Mohawk Valley in match 2 in 4 games, 25-23, 25-17, 26-28, and 25-14. The Lady Lakers were highlighted by Jordan Smith's (Lyons) 15 kills and 11 digs. Taylor Ryan (Victor) added 11 kills and 10 digs for FLCC in the win.

The Lady Lakers took match 3 against SUNY Delhi in 3 games, 25-11, 25-22, and 26-24. Granger tallied 28 assists and recorded 4 blocks in the victory. LaDuke posted 12 digs and 8 kills while landing 6 aces for FLCC. Smith and Ryan both turned in solid efforts for the Lady Lakers. Smith tallied 9 kills, 9 digs, and 3 blocks while Ryan poured in 9 kills, 4 blocks, and 3 aces.

FLCC will play its next match tomorrow at home against Genesee Community College. Match time is set for 6:00 p.m.
