FLCC to host Volleyball Prospect Day on April 13th at its main campus
CANANDAIGUA – Recently, Finger Lakes CC hired a brand new head coach in Matt Barr, a well-established volleyball guru. His philosophies and coaching techniques have helped lead him to becoming one of the most elite coaches in Lyons Central School District sports history. Barr, who has accumulated a 231-21 record as the Lyons varsity girls' volleyball coach in his 11 seasons at the school, is a great facilitator and teacher of the game. His proven track record as a volleyball coach in combination with his playing experience, which consisted of him playing the sport at the high school and collegiate levels, make for him to be an ideal individual to learn this great game from.
Come this spring, Barr's coaching tactics will be on display at Finger Lakes. This is because he has decided to assemble a prospect day for all high school juniors and seniors who are interested in joining FLCC's women's volleyball program in the future. A young, but prospering program, Barr wants to continue building upon its sturdy foundation right out of the gates in his first season at the helm of the team. On Saturday, April 13th, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at FLCC's main campus, the new Lady Lakers head coach will be launching a prospect day that will allow participants of the sport at the high school level the opportunity to improve their skills all while displaying their abilities.
If you are a candidate that is interested in showcasing your volleyball game and are passionate about becoming a future Lady Laker, then April 13th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Putt Moore Court in Canandaigua is the place for you to be.
