AUBURN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Volleyball team won 3 sets to 1 against Cayuga Community College this past Tuesday. This improved the Laker's record to 5-5.

In the first set, the Lakers fell to the Spartans 20-25. It was a close match but it wasn’t quite enough for a Laker victory. The rest of the matches went in favor of FLCC. The Lakers won 25-18 in the second, 25-20 in the third, and 25-15 in the final match. This was a big win for the Lakers as they brought their record to an even 5-5. They will use this boost in their upcoming home POD this weekend.

Laker's game leaders were Lindsay Howell with 8 kills and 4 blocks, Shannon Mowry with 6 kills and one dig, and Michelle Richardson with 3 kills, 11 assists and 2 digs.

The Lakers will host their own Region III POD this Saturday. They will be playing Cayuga Community College at 9:00am, Jefferson Community College at 11:00am, and Onondaga Community College at 3:00pm.
