As a second baseman for the Lakers in 2011: Tyma hit .182 in limited action, playing in a total of 15 games. The sophomore is expected to see an increase in playing time this season at second base and could also dawn time at shortstop as Coach Marren will look to lean on his veteran leadership and reliable glove in the infield. Tyma has the tools and skill set to become a solid all-around player for the Lakers. With a year of playing experience at the collegiate level under his belt now, look for his batting average and hitting skills to increase significantly in 2012. Prior to his collegiate playing career, Tyma was a 1st Team All-County selectee during his senior year in high school at Wayne Central. The infielder is currently majoring in business administration.
