Simmons Tabbed to All-Region Team

HOPEWELL, N.Y. -- Finger Lakes Community College outfielder Joey Simmons has been selected to the Region III First Team, the region announced today.

Simmons led the Lakers with a .387 batting average. The Victor, N.Y. native recorded a program-best 70 hits in an individual season. Simmons also led the team in stolen bases (28), triples (7), total bases (92), and slugging percentage (.508).

The accolades for Simmons continue to mount: in early May, he was named to the Mid-State Athletic Conference First Team.
