High School: The avid soccer player was a member of the men’s team at Greece Arcadia for a total of 6 years. During his playing days with GA, the freshman split his time on the field by rotating between defense and offense. Zaov, a 2-sport athlete in high school, who also played lacrosse, is a great find by the Lakers coaching staff. With so much experience under his belt, the addition of him to the roster almost feels like Finger Lakes is being awarded with a veteran player – who happens to be in only his first year with the club. His knowledge on offense, where he played striker in high school, is of high potency. His understanding of how to play the defensive sector of the field, where he was a sweeper at GA, is also of extreme capacity. Penciled in as a forward with his new team, Zaov gives the Lakers great versatility. He offers great play on either ends of the spectrum. He truly gives Finger Lakes a comfortable security blanket. Zaov is currently majoring in criminal justice.
