As a freshman with the Lady Lakers in 2012 – Taylor – in 111 at bats – collected 34 hits – which were third most on the team. She was one of five Lady Lakers who hit .300 or better last season. At season’s end – the Red Jacket graduate turned in a .306 batting average. Playing in 42 games in her first season in a Finger Lakes uniform – Taylor crossed the plate 21 times and drove in 15 runs all while stealing 11 bases. Her 21 runs and 15 RBI each ranked third on the team in their respective categories. Defensively – Taylor stood out as a great asset behind the plate for Finger Lakes in 2012. With her glove – she accounted for 170 put outs. She finished her freshman campaign with a .974 fielding percentage. A great team player and vital piece to the Lady Lakers lineup – year two for Taylor at the collegiate level should only reveal continued success for her in the batter’s box and on the field.
