A two-time varsity athletic letter award winner – Ward was a superior shortstop and outfielder during her days as a softball player at Bay High in Bay Village, OH.  The talented athlete, in addition to being a solid softball player, ran cross-country and swam on the swimming team while attending Bay. Fast, elusive, and shifty, Ward, factored to be a key part of the outfield in 2013 for the Lady Lakers, has positive buzz surrounding her heading into her first season with the team. The freshman, on top of her ability to play the outfield at an effective level, has the ability to produce with her stick in the batters box. She is a disciplined hitter and has great hand eye coordination. Ward’s bat, on top of her glove, should create positive results this spring for Finger Lakes.
