Women’s Soccer Takes Trio of Games to Remain Undefeated

Ticonderoga, NY – The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team delivered a 5-0 win over North Country Community College on Sunday, improving its record to 12-0-1 on the season. Freshman standout midfielder Cayli Carmona (Rochester) led the Lady Lakers in scoring with 2 goals and 1 assist. With Carmona's recent surge offensively, she now leads the nation in points with 44 (15 goals and 14 assists). Hannah Dalle (Rochester) also recorded 2 goals for FLCC. Colby Henderson added her 16th goal and 7th assist of the season in the win for the Lady Lakers. FLCC received 1 assist each from Morgan Wehrle (Rochester) and Rebecca Giacapuzzi (Merrimack, NH).

Delhi, NY – FLCC defeated SUNY Delhi on Saturday, 9-0. Carmona and Dalle both led the way with 3 goals and 1 assist each in the shutout win. Giacapuzzi scored her 12th and 13th goals of the season while adding 2 assists. Lindsay Shull (Webster) notched her first goal of the season in the dominating victory. Tara Radkiewicz (Tonawanda), 2 assists, Katie Poutre (Macedon), 1 assist, and goalkeeper Kristy Kirkpatrick (Irondequoit), 1 assist, each added to the Lady Lakers impressive scoring efforts.

Sanborn, NY – FLCC shined on Thursday (September 29th) at Niagara County Community College by delivering a 9-0 shutout win on the road. Carmona highlighted the afternoon with a hat trick, continuing her stellar freshman season in a Lady Lakers uniform. Shelby Marra (Spencerport) got in on the scoring action with a multiple point effort by adding a goal and an assist. Giacapuzzi, Henderson, Dalle, and Radkiewicz each scored 1 goal apiece in the blowout victory.

FLCC will play its next game this Thursday at home against Broome Community College. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
