Bio

As a freshman in 2011: She was named an NJCAA All-American after posting an unforgettable season – where she became the nation’s (for D-III women’s soccer) second leading points scorer for the year. Carmona accrued 72 points last season, a number that consisted of 22 goals and 28 assists. Her assist and point totals from 2011 stand as the most ever in a season in the history of the women’s soccer program at Finger Lakes. The sophomore scored 2 or more goals in 6 of the 23 contests that she played in during her freshman year – 2 of which included games with hat-tricks (at Niagara County CC on 9/29 and at SUNY Delhi on 10/1 – both games resulted in Lady Laker wins). She stood as an all-around offensive player last season. Not only was she a reliable scorer of the ball, she was also a solid distributor of it as well. In 8 different games, she was responsible for handing out 2 or more assists. In those 8 games, she twice registered 4 assists (most ever in a game in the history of the women’s soccer program at Finger Lakes) vs. Broome CC on 10/6 and vs. Jamestown CC on 10/9 (both games resulted in Lady Laker victories). In addition to being named an All-American in 2011, Carmona was also announced to the MSAC All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region (First Team) teams and in addition was named MVP of the regional tournament. The offensive juggernaut, named as one of the teams’ three captains for this season, will be leaned on as once again one of the main scoring options for the team in 2012.
