As a freshman in 2011: She was a stud on offense. Giacapuzzi finished the season third on the team in goals with 18 and second in assists with 12. The 48 points that she racked up at the end of her first year with the Lady Lakers was good enough to land her in the top 10 (eighth overall) in the nation (NJCAA D-III) for the category. Her stats came in a total of 23 games in 2011. The sophomore’s best offensive game last season came on 9/1 at home against Fulton-Montgomery CC (game resulted in a Finger Lakes win). In that contest, she posted a hat-trick of goals to go along with an assist. Giacapuzzi’s productive 2011 season consisted of games where she scored 2 or more goals 6 different times. In the assist department, her best outing last season occurred on the road against Corning CC on 9/10. In that game, she recorded a trio of assists in what turned out to be a Lady Laker victory. Her final numbers last season earned her MSAC All-Conference as well as NJCAA First Team All-Region honors. Giacapuzzi will look to add to what has already been labeled a successful college playing career in 2012 by continuing to be a reliable force on offense for Finger Lakes. This talented forward will look to be featured as yet again a key scoring threat and ball distributor in her second season with the club. She is currently majoring in liberal arts and sciences.
