Bio
As a freshman in 2011: She posted an unprecedented .538 Goals Against Average – a number that stands as the best ever in a season in the history of the women’s soccer program at Finger Lakes. Her GAA consisted of 63 saves in 70 shot attempts. Kirkpatrick played in 1170 minutes worth of action in net in 2011. She was a huge part of the teams’ overall success last fall. As part of a 2-player goaltending staff, she made a large portion of pivotal saves last season – especially in pressure situations. The sophomore was regarded statistically as the nation’s (NJCAA D-III) fourth best goalie in 2011. Her play in the crease last season was a result of hard work and dedication. Kirkpatrick, a tall athletic goalie, was able to use her long arms and legs to her advantage in 2011. These tools gave her the ability to defend shots that seemed to be out of reach by most goaltenders standards. Her length coupled with her athleticism gives her an edge up inside the box. Kirkpatrick has the veteran savvy to be relied heavily on in goal in 2012. The second-year Lady Laker is currently majoring in social sciences.
