Smith’s worth was not only high in terms of reliability and effort on the field a year ago, it stood even higher as a leader both on and off of it. She brought the willingness to learn how to grow her game on a consistent basis to the team in 2011. In addition, she also brought the proven ability to be a quality leader with her to each and every game and practice. Smith fit the definition of a winner in 2011. Her combination of hard work and outstanding leadership made her stand out as one of the most important pieces to the roster last year.
