CANANDAIGUA – The Lady Lakers women's soccer program has been a solid rock amidst the beautiful grounds of FLCC's campus in Canandaigua, NY – since its 1981 inception into the college. Located above the shores of beautiful Canandaigua Lake, FLCC supports one of the strongest women's soccer teams in all of the land. The Lady Lakers, coached under a strong regime of highly talented individuals in head coach Eric Marsh and associate head coach Brandy Cooper, have won fourteen or more games in each of the last six seasons under the duo.
Coming off an 18-2-1 season in 2012, FLCC has consistently inked elite talent on a yearly basis since Marsh and Cooper have been at the helm of the program (both just concluded their seventh years with the team). The Lady Lakers, over the last five years, have earned consecutive Mid-State Athletic Conference championship titles in 2008, '09, '10, '11, and '12. In addition, FLCC, which also carries a pair of stellar assistant coaches in James Hewlett and Jason Wild, has made a trip to the region III finals in each of the aforementioned years.
The program, which took a giant leap forward in 2011 – when it made its first-ever trip to the national tournament – continues to gain strength as the years progress. Over the past two seasons (the Lady Lakers went 22-1-1 in '11); FLCC has set a list full of team and individual records. In addition, the Lady Lakers have developed some of the nation's best offensive and defensive players over that time frame as well as throughout the teams' history.
A tradition richened with solid coaching in combination with its highly respected staff members, FLCC has been the home of a successful women's soccer team for a plethora of years.
