Lacrosse – Quartet Of Lakers Players Named To MSAC All-Conference Team

CANANDAIGUA, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers (9-12) produced four (NJCAA Division III Region III) Mid-State Athletic Conference All-Conference team members from their 2012 roster. These players include the likes of Steve Campaniello (Rochester, NY), Chris Tauterouff (Canandaigua, NY), Joshua Taylor (Calgary, Alberta), and Jack Timerson (Newark, NY). Each player produced on the field for Finger Lakes this season by being major forces at their positions on a consistent basis. Each player (position played and year of status included) with a description of what their 2012 season entailed is described below:

Campaniello (Attack, Sophomore) - Ranked 36th in the nation in total points, he accumulated 55 points in 21 games. He was among the nation's leaders in assists (14th). Campaniello dished out 33 helpers for the Lakers this season. He also tallied 22 goals to along with his pile of assists. Campaniello did an excellent job of keeping the flow of Finger Lakes offense in rhythm by being a dynamic passer of the ball and leader at his position.

Tauterouff (Defense, Sophomore) – As a defender, he not only provided the Lakers with a valuable presence on defense, he also gave them an added scoring option. Tauterouff scored 6 goals and delivered 7 assists in 21 games. He was most notably known for his aggressive style of play on defense. Tauterouff displayed great instincts around the ball as well as around opposing offenders. In addition, the sophomore was also selected 2nd Team All-Region.

Taylor (Attack, Sophomore) – Finished 7th and 30th in the nation in goals scored (56) and total points (59) respectively. He accumulated these numbers in a span of 21 games. Taylor was Finger Lakes number one scoring option this season.  He has the ability to read the field and get into scoring position.

Timerson (Midfield, Freshman) – Was 28th in the nation in total points with 60. He finished 22nd and 42nd in the nation in assists (29) and goals (31) scored respectively. Timerson accomplished these numbers in a sum of 21 games. He provided the Lakers with a stable impact player at his position. Timerson proved not only to have the ability to be a worthy scoring option; he was also a great distributor of the ball on offense.
