Weeks Posts Hat Trick to Key FLCC Victory over USMAPS, 8-6

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes CC men's lacrosse team notched their first victory of the season on Sunday, defeating the United States Military Academy Prep School on the road, 8-6.

The (1-2) Lakers trailed the (2-2) Black Knights 6-5 at the half. In the second half, the Lakers held the United States Military Academy Prep School scoreless, while capitalizing on three offensive chances of their own.
 
Sophomore Parker Weeks (Canandaigua, N.Y.) scored a career-high five points on three goals and two assists. Jack Timerson (Newark, N.Y.) added two goals, completing his third consecutive game with at least two points. Timerson ranks seventh amongst NJCAA scorers with seven points.
 
In addition to Timerson and Weeks, Joshua Spence (Fairport, N.Y.) and Brandon Grace (Penn Yan, N.Y.) each recorded their first career goals. The Lakers also utilized assists from Robert Pelkey (Fairport, N.Y.) and Corey Roed (Simley, Minn.).
 
Sophomore John Perrucci (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) finished with 13 saves in 60 minutes of action. Perrucci leads the NJCAA with 39 saves.
 
Finger Lakes CC will return to action on Wednesday, when they travel to take on Tompkins Cortland CC at 4 p.m.
