Lakers Fall 14-3 to No. 7 Ranked Harford CC

ALBION, NY. – In what was deemed a home contest for the Lakers on Saturday, Finger Lakes, in a game that was moved to the confines of Genesee CC due to unplayable fields at FLCC, fell as victims of defeat to No. 7 ranked Harford CC 14-3.

Finger Lakes (2-6) had no answer for the outstanding play that the Fighting Owls (5-3) Ricky DeMicco brought to the field over the weekend. The sophomore attackman, on the early spring afternoon, accumulated 8 goals and handed out three assists. DeMicco's 8-goal, 3-assist effort marked the second time in three games in which he has recorded those numbers.

For the Lakers, Jack Timerson continued his goal-scoring and points streak. In a losing effort, the sophomore delivered a pair of goals. On the season, Timerson has registered one goal or more in each of the Lakers eight games played. Overall, the standout offensive guru has notched 25 goals so far in 2013. Rounding out the goal-scoring column for Finger Lakes was Albert Thompson. The midfielder, with his helper, has now recorded at least one point or more in eight consecutive games.

In goal, John Perrucci netted 14 saves in 56 minutes worth of time for the Lakers. Adding a save in 4 minutes of relief action in between the crossbars for Finger Lakes was Matthew Ebanez.

The Lakers will return to action tomorrow as they are set to take on Mohawk Valley CC in an afternoon home game. Faceoff is slated for 4 pm.
