Lakers Sweep Barons

Corning, NY - The Finger Lakes Community College men's and women's soccer teams won both of their games on Saturday at Corning Community College. The Lady Lakers (4-0) played first at noon, winning their matchup against the Lady Barons by a score of 5-1. FLCC received goals from Sarah Murphy (Webster), Colby Henderson (Canandaigua), Cayli Carmona (Rochester), Tara Radkiewicz (Tonawanda), and Cristi VanCaeseele (Palmyra).

The men's team won their matchup against Corning by a score of 4-1, notching their first victory of 2011. Arber Emerllahu (Palmyra) continues to shine for the Lakers (1-5), scoring 2 goals on Saturday afternoon against the Barons. FLCC also received goals from Alex Lucarelli (Webster) and Perry Mortensen (Rushville).

The FLCC women's team is back in action today, hosting Mohawk Valley Community College at home. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. The men's team will take the field again this coming Wednesday (September 14th) on the road against Mohawk Valley Community College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
