Men’s Cross Country Competes In NJCAA Regionals

Alfred, NY – The FLCC men's cross country team competed in the NJCAA Regionals on Saturday (10/29) at Alfred State College. Overall, the men finished in 5th place in the 10K event. The Lakers Jordan Merritt (Penn Yan) continued his successful sophomore campaign by finishing 8th with an overall time of 31:23.3. Mike Pitcher (Hornell) finished 22nd for FLCC with an overall time of 32:55.6. Several other FLCC runners finished inside the top 50 including; Adam Bradley (Marcus Whitman), 31st (33:50.3), Josh Corey (Marcus Whitman), 40th (34:41.7), Dave Herbert (Wayland-Cohocton), 41st (34:54.6), Aaron Wiseman (Canandaigua), 43rd (35:01.7), Joe Ellinger (Clyde-Savannah), 45th (35:07.1), and Joel Vollenweider (Canandaigua), 50th (35:43.4). Nicholas Pruden (Canandaigua), Brian Richardson (Scottsville), and Ryan Vogt (Wayland-Cohocton) each added solid performances for the Lakers.

FLCC's season will conclude this Saturday (11/5) at the 2011 Nationals in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The race is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m
