2011 Season Review
The Finger Lakes Community College softball team finished the 2011 season with a record of 4-35 (2-21 in Region III play)
The Lady Lakers were highlighted this season by the offensive production of sophomore Brandy Earl (Oswego). She led the team in batting average (.375), hits (33), runs scored (17), and RBI (14). Kayla Kline (Mynderse) also assembled a productive season from the plate by hitting .330 with 1 home run (tied with Earl for team lead) and 11 RBI. Sarah Roza (Greece-Arcadia) added to FLCC's offense in 2011 with 32 hits (2nd on the team) and 13 RBI (2nd on the team) while posting a .308 batting average.
Shelby Marra (Spencerport) led the Lady Lakers pitching staff in wins (3), ERA (4.65), strikeouts (37), and innings pitched (126.1). Katy Alaimo (Geneva) led the team in fielding percentage (.956%) and put outs with 125.
FLCC looks to rebuild its softball program in 2012. Currently, the Lady Lakers have 8 new recruits committed to joining the team next season along with 4 returning players.
