Bio

As an athlete in high school at Geneseo: Cook was a member of the women’s soccer and softball teams. During her playing days as a softball player at Geneseo, she played a multitude of positions including; catcher, first base, and third base. She brings a unique dimension to the Lady Lakers ball club in 2012 by having the ability to play multiple positions. Cook is slated to see a majority of her time in the field playing behind the plate as the team’s signal caller. As a catcher in high school, she did an exceptional job of handling pitching staffs all while carrying a solid glove on a consistent basis. The versatile Cook is also a solid prodigy at the plate as well, bringing a quality skill set with her to the batter’s box, one that consists of being able to hit for average and power. Look for her to make a smooth transition into the college ranks during her first year with the Lady Lakers in 2012. The freshman is currently majoring in liberal arts and sciences.
