Softball - Lady Lakers Fall To Herkimer

MYRTLE BEACH, SC. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers were blanked by Herkimer County Community College today in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (neutral site) by a score of 8-0.

In the losing effort, the Lady Lakers received one hit each from Ashley Sheesley (first baseman, freshman, Lowman, NY), Chelsie Travis (shortstop, freshman, Penn Yan, NY), and Kayla Kline (pitcher/infielder, sophomore, Seneca Falls, NY). Sheesley finished the game by going 1 for 2 from the plate. Travis and Kline each finished the game by going a perfect 1 for 1 from the plate.

Finger Lakes will continue its play in Myrtle Beach this morning and afternoon with a doubleheader. At 9:30 am, the Lady Lakers will take on Raritan Valley Community College (of New Jersey). At 11:30 am, they will matchup against Norwich University (of Vermont).
