Softball – Lady Lakers Drop Pair Of Home Games To Onondaga
CANANDAIGUA, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers (4-16 dropped a pair of games this afternoon to conference foes Onondaga Community College (Lady Lazers) in a home doubleheader by scores of 11-3 (game one) and 12-8 (game two).
Game One: The Lady Lakers received two hits each from Jeri Baker (Harrisville, NY) and Samantha German (Horseheads, NY). Baker and German both finished the game 2 for 3 from the plate. They also both crossed the plate one time each, accounting for two of Finger Lakers three runs. Along with her two hits and run scored, German also produced one RBI with her bat.
Game Two: Nicole Taylor (Shortsville, NY), German, and Amalia Dolley (Horseheads, NY) each pounded out two hits apiece for Finger Lakes. Taylor finished the game 2 for 3 from the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. German went 2 for 4 at the dish with a run scored. Dolley accumulated a 2 for 5 afternoon with two RBI's and a run scored.
Upcoming Games: The Lady Lakers will return to action on Tuesday (4/17) when they travel to Niagara County Community College for an afternoon-evening doubleheader. The first pitch of game one is scheduled to be thrown at 3:00 pm.
