Softball – Finger Lakes Drops Home Doubleheader To Jefferson
CANANDAIGUA, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers dropped a home doubleheader this afternoon to the Jefferson Community College Lady Cannoneers (11-11), 10-0 (game one) and 18-11 (game two). The game one-shutout victory for the Lady Cannoneers was completed in just five innings.
Game One Highlights: In a losing effort, Amalia Dolley (Horseheads, NY) registered a two-hit game for the Lady Lakers. She finished the game 2 for 3 from the plate.
Nicole Taylor (Shortsville, NY) added a hit for Finger Lakes.
Game Two Highlights: Tamara Robertson (Farmington, NY) led the Lady Lakers in the hitting department with her two-hit effort in the loss. She also tacked on a pair of runs scored.
Dolley, Emily Essom (Fairport, NY), and Samantha German (Horseheads, NY) each added one hit apiece for Finger Lakes. Dolley, like Robertson, also crossed the plate twice for two runs scored. Along with their hits, German and Essom also contributed two RBI's apiece.
Upcoming Games: The Lady Lakers will return to action on Tuesday (4/24) for a road match-up (doubleheader) with conference foes Corning Community College (12-12). The first pitch of game one is slated to be thrown at 3:00 pm.
