Lakers Split With TC3

FLCC baseball played its second doubleheader of the week against Tompkins Cortland CC on Thursday. The Lakers (14-12) lost game one 3-2, but managed to bounce back in game two by winning 7-2.

Jordan Doroshenko (Hamilton) pitched a complete game in game one for FLCC, allowing just 6 hits while striking out 6 batters. Jarryl Carley (Spencerport) and Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan) each had 1 RBI. Nick French (Lansing) got the win in game two for the Lakers, striking out 6 while allowing 2 earned runs over 6 innings. Gary Carpentier (Oswego) worked a scoreless 7th inning with 2 strikeouts to close out the game. Barkley went 4 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI. Hector Mitanyes (East Irondequoit) added 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Lakers.
